Well, one of the goats didn't get the message that the kidding season is over. She had a single doeling yesterday. Now I'm doubting she'll be the last.
The weather is beautiful and we had some rain last night. Everything's suddenly popping up and blooming outside. This includes poke and other noxious weeds.
I planted beans and harvested lots of nice asparagus. This afternoon, I blanched it and it is now in the freezer on a foil-covered cookie sheet. When it it totally frozen through, I'll vacuum seal it in portions. I see tiny lettuce seedlings in the garden.

I have so enjoyed reading your blog. I have registered nubians (only 3) and having one that is ready to kid in a couple weeks. We use to have a dairy farm and milked 150 cows twice a day but I have never had goats till last year. I love them and am slowly going to build up a herd. Reading about all the ones that have kidded at your place amazed me. I am a nervous wreck waiting on Diva to kid. She had a set of triplets and set of twins before I bought her so she will be a pro. I will be the crazy one. I have a baby monitor in her stall so I can hear her at night and have my birthing bag all packed but am hoping she just has them easy and healthy and I find them. Thanks so much for sharing about the kidding!
